Hello My name is Emily Bowers, I am a 5th Generation Montanan/Professional camp cook and Wrangler. I have been a camp cook for over 10 years. I grew up helping in my families' Outfitting business. My Great Great Grandma Billman cooked in various mining camps in the Paradise Valley, including at the famous Emigrant Gulch Gold strike. My Great Great Grandma Perry cooked on various ranches in the Shields Valley. My Great Grandma Drake was known for her melt in your mouth homemade rolls and jello cookies (secret recipe). Great Grandma Perry cooked for her large family and friends, she was also the Head cook at the Baptist Church camp up Mill Creek in the Paradise Valley ( I might add she was an excellent flyfisherwoman). Working with and helping my mother growing up, I learned how to cook, from some of the best cooks in the world for good Montana Ranch style and backcountry cooking, with a pinch of fanciness. I want to share my extensive knowledge and experience with you! Then you can get a position as a cook, or just learn more about camp cooking for your own pleasure and to entertain your family and friends.
There is nothing more gratifying than cooking and then watching people enjoy your good efforts! Preparing food with Montana love makes for good tips, too!
Good Food makes for Good Friends and Special Memories
